Time flies, no?

Well, I finally made an honest woman of acerbicmuffin, weekend before last - or a married one, at least... <ducks>

The wedding was beautiful. The house was finished, the weather held, the cake was stunning, lokicarbis and crazyjane13 s speeches were fantastic, fire_wuff  s photos look great, the bridesmaids looked lovely (and the groomsmen? Phwoar...), and the Muffin was, quite frankly, stunning. I had a fantastic time, and so did everyone I've spoken to about it.

Honeymoon was at a beautiful little cabin near Port Campbell. We rambled, we talked, we got rained on, we took cheesy photos, etc. Good times.

Putting our wedding registry at Outre was the BEST IDEA EVAR!!!!1!!  We now own more cool art by Shag and kozyndan, with our Yoshimoto Nara on order....Add that to the several pieces of original art we got from people, and we're rapidly running out of wall space. Outre actually gave us a gift as well: it's a gorgeous book of photos of Edward Gorey's house (no link there - I assume most of you know who he is...I'm not your damn search engine...).

Other gifts were also good - many CDs and DVDs have been bought, we now own a HUGE stockpot and a good knife set, some beautiful plates and bowls, several new houseplants, and many other things. We have many many generous and creative friends and relatives, and to those of you who read this, we love you all.

In other news, the teaching gig is going really well. It's very different to regular classroom teaching: you work much more closely with a smaller group of kids, and consequently get to know them a lot better. I definitely prefer it, and could well be going back to uni ("Again?" comes the chorus...) to get a qualification in special education one of these days.

I make no commitments, but I might try to post more than once every seven months. We'll see...
